Hey there, my name is Tyson Cross!

I’m a guy who loves real estate!​ No really, it’s my passion. So much so that I make my living selling commercial real estate – apartment complexes, specifically. I’ve been a multifamily broker since 2014 and I managed commercial office before that. I've immersed myself in commercial real estate since 2011 and it’s what I will continue to be involved in for the rest of my life, I am sure of it. ​

But to me, real estate is more than just earning a living. You see, I believe that investing in real estate is the single best way to earn passive cash flow and to build wealth. But more importantly I believe real estate can be the single best source of retirement for anybody.

​

Let me explain. I used to believe, just like most people, that 401ks and IRAs were the best way to ensure a healthy retirement. I don’t believe that to be the case anymore. In fact, I believe that anybody, if they are willing, can learn how to effectively identify, buy and manage cash flowing real estate that will not only provide stream of income for virtually the rest of their lives, but also hedge against inflation, provide real tax benefits and on top of it all…provide a place for someone to live.

I also believe that, when done intelligently and with careful consideration, even buying one single piece of real estate can be enough to fund a person’s entire retirement. Yes, I’m serious. The specific type of real estate I focus on can be bought very often with seller financing, potentially less money down than traditional real estate and often produces cash flow that no other investment does.

​

Additionally, if you're saying to yourself, "Tyson, I don't want to own real estate and manage tenants.." the beautiful thing is you don't have to! You can also invest passively in real estate and let someone else do all the work!

​

And so, I’ve decided to create this blog as a road map for anybody who has the desire to learn more. To understand how they too can create a better financial picture for their own lives. It is my hope that this blog can be a resource, for me to share what I have learned about real estate investing thus far.

​

But in addition to advice and tips, this blog will chronicle my journey as a real estate investor. So, you can see one way to do it and hopefully it will inspire you to create financial freedom for you and your family. It is my intent to share my every step along the way; from the failures, to the successes and in between. I will share with you what works, what doesn’t and why anybody reading this can do the same.

It is my hope that if you are looking for a way to create passive income, or if you are not happy with the retirement planning that society teaches you to believe – this will be a guide and a blueprint for you as well. But, I will warn you that you may need to expand your thinking. We are not talking about buying single family homes or flipping.

So please enjoy the information. It is my sincere hope, that by writing about real estate investing and sharing what I know and what I don’t, it will help you.
